The First of Many.

To start off this post, the first of many I'm sure, I'll start of by writing this. I love game design. Yes, this is where it starts. The purpose of this blog is to record my research, creation and progress of my project, which if you have yet to guess by now, will certainly be a game. On the top of my head, I can count a large number of aspects I lack to fully produce said game. But the purpose of this project is to also hone my skills in those aspect in hopes of arriving to result I myself and pleased with. And to that, my journey into this project begins. The next two or three posts will be about the research and conceptualization of the project.

Coding: The Rhythm Problem: Part 3

And with one problem solved, a new problem arises. Whilst I've successfully fixed the gravity problem with a  Vector3  formula, an odd problem has opccured and it honestly baffles me as to why such a thing is happening. Two buttons are to fall at the same time, both would thus in theory land at the same time. That is apparently not the case. Apparently, what happens is that as buttons spawn over time, it would seem that the buttons have their own speed and pacing. I am unclear as to what is going on and why such a thing is happening but it is currently an issue consuming too much time. Hopefully I will find an answer to it soon. References Technologies, U. Coding: The Rhythm Problem: Part 2

Now as mentioned prior, a previous existing problem regarding the Unity format has thankfully been resolved, but a new problem has occurred and it is regarding the gravity of the buttons that pop up, because of said gravity, the buttons appear to spawn and move faster as it falls down. This is because colliders, a component which allows objects to detect when they clash with another object, in Unity require a component known as Rigidbodies. The problem with Rigidbodies is that gravity becomes an issue. Now why is it that the video seems to show no issues? That is because of how the layout is placed, as it is not a flat top to bottom system, gravity may not be as noticeable. Why? It is because the layout is actually slanted, something that can be done in Unity 3D. Now it may not seems like an issue as it still spawns in a specific time or rhythm, but there's a noticeable increase in speed as it drops down making it difficult to time. What now?

Well submission day has come, and now that it is here, all I can do is submit what I have done. Truth be told, it was a difficult three months and honestly very taxing. I've certainly enjoyed my time making this and I hope all of you can see it too. So to finish this off, here's a list of things I have plans for as I hope this game is enjoyable enough to continue and if not, well, I'd like to take this as a learning opportunity and hopefully I could use various aspects of it in other projects. The game as it stand is just a tutorial. The plans for this game after submission would be as follows. 1. A full story. Of course with all that's been done, I'd like to create a full story regarding the game. What I also mean by this, is that I'd like to make this a full game if possible. 2.
